"Trees"
A native of Utah presently residing in Pleasant Grove.
I am pleased to share my latest oil paintings with you.
I have always loved being surrounded by trees.
Admiring the majestic nature of them, feeling a
certain security. My first oil painting was 30 years ago,
of pine trees, aspens, snow, and a trickling stream.
Since then most of my work has been of trees.
I am now venturing out on other subjects,
I hope you enjoy the selections I have chosen.
Art is a reflection of the artist, once you begin
brushing the bristles across the canvas, you
recognize your deepest senses. Trees depict the
living structure of your inner self. The roots
show your connection with your physical body and
the earth. The trunk of the tree is the way you
direct your energies, growth, emotion, and thought.
Branches show abilities and directions.
Trees symbolize new growth, stages of life, and
aging. The tops of trees are your aspiration.
The leaves represent your personal life, they
may fall off and die, or they may return in the
Spring. What gave them life continues to exist.
They offer a place of security and refuge. |
