From Kilrush you follow the lanes out west, leaving the hustle and bustle of life far behind you. Loop Head is rich in the wild rugged Ireland feeling, remote and yet so endearing. If you would like to stay there and enjoy it like I did, then please contact the Irish Landmark Trust

These spectacular cliffs lie to the north side of the headland. In the distance you can just make out the lighthouse.

Loop lighthouse

The Lighthouse at Loop Head. Stand here and look out on the Atlantic Ocean. Far away in distance you might catch a light of a passing ship or maybe the lights of New York.
